Introducing the new DVHH Mascot . . .

"Lissi"

Isn't she sweet!

DVHH Mail List subscribers joined in to name her! The judges selected from an assortment of names and chose Lissi. The first submitter of the name Lissi was Diana Lambing, a longtime DVHH volunteer who lives in England. Thank you to all those who submitted names and to our judges! ~Jody McKim Pharr, 16 Aug 2013

Entering our 2nd decade of existence, I wanted to do something special for the DVHH, so I commissioned a professional artist, Sherice Jacob to create a DVHH mascot. I told her the character type I wanted and provided her pictures of typical Donauschwaben Tracht and in no time she had a rough sketch ready. I summoned Rose Vetter, Rose Mary Keller Hughes and Jane Moore for several reviews until we got it just right and I am happy to say that together and with a very talented artist, we now have a very special addition to the DVHH.  ~Jody McKim Pharr, 8 July 2013
