These pages are written for my children and grandchildren, so they may have easy access to any family history that may otherwise get lost. Since they are first generation Americans, I hope to relay to them the knowledge of where they came from.  Joseph Scheier Family Tree

09/10/2005 - THE HERALD-PALLADIUM obituaries

Barbara Wolfram
COLOMA -- After a courageous battle with illness, the Lord has called our precious loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and friend, Barbara (Scheuer) Wolfram, home.

All who knew Barb were enriched by her generous, caring spirit, and she will forever live in our hearts and memories. May she rest in God's eternal peace.

Barbara was born July 7, 1937, in Gabosh, Yugoslavia. With her parents and siblings, she immigrated to the United States in 1952. She graduated from Coloma High School in 1956 and then worked as a telephone operator until her marriage to George Wolfram in 1960.

As a full-time homemaker and mother, Barb still contributed her time generously to various church, school and community activities, including working the polls for local elections. She took great joy in donating hand-crocheted baby hats for the newborns at Community Hospital in Watervliet, where she was a volunteer. She was a past president and member of American Legion Auxiliary Post 362. She amazed everyone with her many creative talents: gardening, crocheted doilies, costume-making, cooking, baking and sewing, as well as her unforgettable singing voice. After many years of service, she retired from her information clerk position at the Berrien County Courthouse this year.

Barbara is survived by her husband, George; four children, Michael and Thomas of Coloma, Liz (Wolfram) Moroz of Portage, Mich., and Melissa of St. Joseph; two brothers, John (Lois) Scheuer of Coloma and Tony (Virginia) Scheuer of Paw Paw; her sister, Liz Scheuer of Kalamazoo; five grandchildren, Marcus and Hannah Moroz, David and Edward (Maria) Dahn, and Patricia (Joseph) King; and two great-grandchildren, Raphael and Caleigh Dahn.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Joseph and Eva Scheuer; her sister, Theresa (Bill) Abler; and an infant brother, Nicholas.

Visitation will be held from 3 to 7 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 11, at Davidson Chapel, Florin Funeral Service, with the Rosary at 5 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10 a.m. Monday at St. Joseph Catholic Church, Watervliet, with interment in St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery. Memorials may be made to St. Joseph Catholic Church, North Berrien Senior Center or Community Hospital, Watervliet.
