Latest addition to my line is the discovery of Dottie Lampman of
Cincinnati who is a second cousin.
A couple of weeks ago I subscribed to Ancestry.com do get
access to census data. I was amazed at the stuff I picked
up on my family. When I was young my father occasionally
mentioned an aunt that he came to stay with in 1925 on the
south side of Chicago. Apparently he a falling out with her
because he never mentioned her name, nor did I ever see
her.
I have now concluded that her name was Rosa Frey Guss and
that she was an older sister of my grandfather Georg Frey.
She married Anton Guss from Fibisch and both immigrated to
the US in 1911 with her daughter Katharina Guss Them who had
married Kilian Them from Blumenthal. Her name shows up in
the 1920 and 1930 census. In fact I have a picture of my
father next to a woman who I believe is Rosa and another
picture of him standing next to a girl and a boy who are
probably Rosa's grandchildren. I found the death records of
the two Them boys so it is impossible to contact anyone from
the Them family. They would have been second cousins.

Revised Chronology of Frey, Stengel & Knapp

a well.

Prügl) in Tranau, Austria-Hungary.

Frank (41) and Mary (30) Prinz are listed in the 1900 Census
living in Haralson County, GA. The Ellis Island records show a
Franz (36) and Marie (25) Prinz arriving in 1894. Frank Prinz
(61), retail merchant, is listed in the 1920 living in Waco
Township, Haralson County.
21 June 1905 - Josef Frey (father of Georg), from Saderlach

stands, and was in good condition in August 2008 when Dorothy
