1883--December 13 --which we assume to be a birth date
1883--December 16 - which we assume to be a baptism date
    The name: Janos, male
Parents' names:  Schiller, Miklos, and Them, Margit,
Church:  Roman Katholikus - Roman Catholic
Godparents??:  Ruppert, Janos and Muller Terezia

Janos was a twin - I also have the baptism certificate for his twin brother, Miklos (Nickolas).

Elisabeth / Erzsebet KOVACS

  • Nicholas / Miklos Schuller/Schiller's second wife

  • I have a Birth Certificate for Anna KOVACS - mother was Erzsebet KOVACS.
Anna was baptized in Budapest on April 10, 1899.  No father is listed.

I have been told that Miklos owned an inn, located on a corner lot in Timisoara.  It was a lodging house, with a bar, grocery store and butcher shop, all in one.

Passenger Records:

Ellis Island record:  11 Sept 1906 Miklos (Nicholas) Schiller age 54, occupation barkeeper, traveling with his second wife, Erzbeth (Elisabeth) age 29, and 4 children: Erzbeth (Elisabeth) age 16, Josef  age 13, Terez (Teresia) age 11, and Anna age 8.  Ship: Kaiser Wilhelm II, from Bremen, Germany, arriving at the Port of New York.  They were joining son Miklos (Nikolaus ) Schiller, in Milestone, Saskatchewan - Canada, and had never been to the U.S. before.

I have their homestead records from Saskatchewan, but am trying to trace information on them, when they lived in Temeswar.

Any help that you can give me regarding these families - either the Tem/Them, Schiller/Schuller, Muller, or Kovacs family, will be gratefully received.
