In fact, it is the only thing that ever has." ~Margaret Mead

Long house about 1900, Torschau, Rasmussen Family

I was born 1963 in Vienna, Austria, and still live there.

I have studied chemistry at the university of Vienna and made my Ph.D. degree in 1991.

I am working at the computer department of the municipal of Vienna (with IBM mainframes).

I am married and have 2 sons.

I am researching my family history for over 20 years, but there is still so much work to do.

My mother was born in  in the Batschka. I am collecting all data about this village.  Torschau Village Website

I am board member of Familia Austria, an Austrian genealogical society (see www.familia-austria.at for more).

My other hobby: Running marathons. My best time ever was 3:05 hours, but that's a long time ago.
