Mansfield, Ohio had the 6th largest congregation of Donauschwaben settlers.

Jacob Hunsinger, President of the Mansfield Liederkranz, was happy to hear that the DVHH will be a part of this year's Treffen; of which the DVHH booth will be in the same location as in 2007. He said we were a great hit with the Liederkranz members and visitors. Herr Hunsinger said this year is a competition year and they expect a much larger crowd than the last time.

Tanzwettbewerb means that there is a competition between all the groups. Every city is allowed 15 minutes of song, dance, speaking in German,  poems, their trachts, etc.  Whoever has the most points will win what is called the “Awender Cultural Prize” which is first place.
