My great grandmother
Anna Schag . 1886 in Mercydorf. Immigrated to the US
1902 and lived in College Point, NY. She married Anton
Retzler from nearby Hatzfeld. Her second marriage was
to Michael Winterkorn, also from the Banat area.
My grandfather, Michael Joseph
HUPCHEN was born in Mercydorf on July 6, 1877 and died in Vienna in 1938.
His father, Joseph HUPCHEN, a farmer, was married to Eva DURR.
