Actual marriage certificate written and signed by Alderman of New York City was Charles Delaney and exact spelling of names are Mr. John Prinz and Miss Betty Graf.  Their addresses listed on the marriage certificate were both the same, being 540 E. 149th.

Exact name in full:  John Prince - Age 29 - address: 739 Brook Ave, Bronx, N.Y. - Date of Birth March 10, 1889 - question #4  asks whether naturalized - he said he completed Declared Intention - Where were you born?  He said Temesvar, Hungary - If not a citizen, of what nation are you a citizen or subject?  He said Austria.  Present occupation - Bookbinder employed by Arrow Printing Co., 689 Kent Ave., Brooklyn, N.Y. - Who is dependent on you for support?  He listed wife.  (Note: his wife didn't give birth till Dec. 2, 1917) - He said he was married - listed race as white - Asked of prior military service, he listed none.  Do you claim exemption from draft, he listed No. - --Tall, Medium, or Short, he listed Medium - -- Frame, Stout - Eyes, Brown - Hair, Blonde  - any disabilities, he listed Right Eye Disabled.   Signature of Registrar was Charles Herbig, Precinct 29-33, City or County N.Y. State N.Y. and date of registration June 5, 1917. 

1910 Census - he was listed as John Prinz, a boarder, age 21, birth date abt 1889, Birth Place Hungary, Father and Mother's Birth Place, Hungary, Home in 1910 at 2329 2nd Ave., Manhattan, Ward 12, New York City., Marital Status single, Year of Immigration, 1906. 

On my father's birth certificate John's name is written as John Prince and his birthplace as Hungary, his age 30 yrs. and his occupation as Bookbinder.  Wife name Betty Prince, maiden name Graf and her age as 37 with  their address listed as 739 Brook Ave., N.Y.  Birth date of the twins, Rudolph John Prince (twin #1) and Helen Prince (twin #2) was Dec. 2, 1917.   

John's obituary was listed in the local Philadelphia Pennsylvania German newspaper titled "Philadelphische Zeitung"  Exact spelling of his last name Princz, John died Oct. 26, 1926 at age 38 of pulmonary Tuberculosis.  his widow  listed as Bette Prince, maiden name Graf.  Their address was 1637 N. Cadwallader St. Phil., Pa. 

On John's death certificate his information was given by my grandmother as John Prinz with birth date of march 1, 1888 and she listed his birthplace as Hungary, father's name unknown, father's birthplace Hungary, mother's name unknown, mother's birthplace Hungary.  She listed his occupation as a Pocketbook Maker.   

I have a few photo's of John Prinz, one being taken with his lodge members.  He belonged to I.O.O.F. lodge #408, and that is International Order of Odd Fellows and the photo was taken in 1919.
