EHARDT – Johann Ehardt died 15 November 1960 in Chicago, IL.  Also lived earlier in New York City. He was born 27 August 1880 in Klein-Beregsau, Hungary, the son of Dominik & Anna (Keresz) Ehardt.  Immigrating to the United States in 1905, Johann met and married Agatha Scheirich of Deutschbentschek in 1906. Johann was a cabinet maker by trade and the father of five children.  Submitted by granddaughter Jane Ehardt  Moore.

EHAS – Carl Ehas, 65, of Trenton, NJ, died December 1981. Born 3 December 1916 [son of Karl & Elizabeth Knobl Ehas from Palanka].  Palanka OSB Family #4875. Social Security Death Index.

EHOS  (Ehas, Ehaus, Ehous, Ihasz, Ihaus, Ihos) - Katie Ehos Loch, 84, of Fairless Hills, PA, died 1 October 1981.  Born in [Palanka] Austria-Hungary, wife of late John Loch Sr. and daughter of late Joseph & Anna Bohnert Ehos [2nd marriage to Christian Bauer].  Survived by sons, Anthony & William Loch of Morrisville, PA, John Loch Jr. of Fairless Hills, Joseph & Francis Loch of Yardley; daughters, Mrs. William Lord of Robbinsville, NJ, Mrs. Theodore Yeggle of Morrisville, Mrs. Rose Hackett, Mrs. George Blizard & Mrs. James Coyne, all of Yardley and  half-sister, Betty Meszaros of Morrisville.  Buried in St. Ignatius Church, Yardley parish cemetery.  Palanka OSB Family #4873. EISELE (Izene) Anna Josephna (sic, Eisele, Anna, father’s given name - Josef), Born: 1918, Batsch, Batschka, Yugoslavia, Passed away 14 November 1945. Details of death/burial: Typhus - Buried: at camp - Signed: ­­­­­­­­Doctor Novachek, Soviet Red Army, 14 November 1945.

Obtained from the Russian State Military Archives, Moskau (RGWA).  Original in Russian,translation by Asya Galperin on 2 November 2011. Previous information from German Red Cross; Antrazit (Camp Krassnyji #7256/1201 in Lutsch, Woroschilowgradskaja) Ukraine. This Soviet work camp was located in the anthracite coal region of the Donet basin.

EISENMAN (Eisenmann, Isemann) - Katharina Eisenman Fabritz, 90, of Trenton, NJ, died 27 January 1979.  Born in [Palanka] Austria-Hungary, widow of Anton Fabritz.  Survived by daughter, Anna F. ENGEL – Mary Dienes (nee Engel), 89, of Trenton, NJ, died 25 May 1957. Wife of  late Jacob Dienes  [she was born in Palanka, Austria-Hungary]. Survived by daughters, Mrs. Elizabeth Wechselberger of Port Huron, MI & Mrs. Arthur Link of New York City, NY; sons, Frank Dienes of Trenton, Jacob Dienes of Sandusky, OH and  Peter & George Dienes both of Detroit, MI; sister, Mrs. Anna Malje of Trenton and 21 grandchildren. ENGELBERGER - John J. Engelberger, 99, of Trenton, NJ, died 8 July 1997.  Born in Palanka, Austria-Hungary, son of late John & Anna [nee Offenbacher] Engelberger and husband of late Hermina Pum Engelberger & Elizabeth Lorisz Engelberger.  Survived by daughter, Elsie E. Stamhagen of Hamilton, NJ; son & daughter-in-law, John & Virginia Engelberger of Morrisville, PA; granddaughter & her husband, Dr. Annette Stemhagen & William Kendall of Dresher, PA; granddaughter, Carolyn Stemhagen; nieces, Betty Gravener of California & Anne Marie Marcello of Florida and nephew, Julius Dornstauber of Hamilton.   Buried at Greenwood Cemetery, Trenton, NJ.  Palanka OSB Family #2342.  The Times, 10 July 1997 issue.
 
ENGELBRECHT - Katharina Engelbrecht Wilpert, 80, of Gundelsheim, Germany, died 12 December 1983.  Born 18 April 1903 in Palanka, Austria-Hungary.  Survived by husband, Johann Wilpert and sons, Josef Wilpert & Peter Wilpert.  Buried in Gundelsheim.  Palanka OSB Family #2353 & 13267. *

ENZMINGER - Elisabeth Gebel-Welzel, of Glendale died on January 4, 2001 at the age of 77. A native of Werbas, Yugoslavia, she was the widow of the late Jakob Gebel, devoted mother of Hilda Kiefer, Helen Penela and the late Jack Gebel, dear sister of Helen Boeck, Philip, Peter and Joseph Enzminger; also survived by seven grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren. Services were held at the Morton Funeral Home/Ridgewood Chapels, 663 Grandview Avenue, Ridgewood, officiated by Reverend Albert Potgeiter, followed by interment in Linden Hill Cemetery. ESSERT  (Eschert, Eszer) - Elisabeth Essert Heil (Hiel, Hill), 65, of Trenton, NJ, died 4 September 1949. [Born in Palanka, Austria-Hungary].  Survived by husband, John Heil/Hiel; sons, Jacob & John Essert; sister, Mrs. Anna Cherry;  brothers, Jacob Essert of New York City and  John Essert & Joseph Renlinger  both of Trenton and two grandchildren.  Buried at Our Lady of Lourdes Cemetery, Hamilton, NJ.  Palanka OSB Family # 2465 & 4527. ESSERT – Eva Scheppe (nee Essert), 51, of Trenton, NJ, died 10  September 1938.  [Born in Palanka, Austria-Hungary], wife of Joseph J. Scheppe. Survived by sons, Joseph J. Scheppe, John J. Scheppe & Karl J. Scheppe; sisters, Mrs. John Hiel & Mrs. Victor Cherry; brothers, Jacob Essert & John Essert of New York and step-brother, Joseph Remlinger of Trenton.
