EHARDT
– Johann Ehardt died 15 November 1960
in Chicago, IL. Also lived earlier in New York
City. He was born 27 August 1880 in
Klein-Beregsau, Hungary, the son of Dominik &
Anna (Keresz) Ehardt. Immigrating to the United
States in 1905, Johann met and married Agatha
Scheirich of Deutschbentschek in 1906. Johann
was a cabinet maker by trade and the father of
five children. Submitted by granddaughter Jane
Ehardt Moore.

- Elisabeth Gebel-Welzel, of Glendale died on
January 4, 2001 at the age of 77. A native of
Werbas, Yugoslavia, she was the widow of the
late Jakob Gebel, devoted mother of Hilda
Kiefer, Helen Penela and the late Jack Gebel,
dear sister of Helen Boeck, Philip, Peter and
Joseph Enzminger; also survived by seven
grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.
Services were held at the Morton Funeral
Home/Ridgewood Chapels, 663 Grandview Avenue,
Ridgewood, officiated by Reverend Albert
Potgeiter, followed by interment in Linden Hill
