[Update, 03 Nov 2012: Due to health reasons, Martha's work on the census books has come to an end. Let your hearts and prayers be with Martha. Fortunately though, the work that Martha and Bob began will be followed up by their daughter Kathy Dubronyi, who already contacted those who placed orders from 2010 and 2011 and have been able to fill them. If you submitted an order and did not received a response, please let Kathy know.

This census survey was carried out in the Hungarian Kingdom, which at the time included the now Burgenland province of Austria, today's Slovakia, the Zakarpattia part of today's Ukraine, the SE counties of the Kingdom of Hungary, commonly known as the Banat (Krassó-Szörény, Temes and Torontál, now part of Romania and Serbia), Bács-Bodrog County (Batschka, with its parts now mostly in Serbia), Croatia, Slavonia and Szerém (Srijem) and modern Hungary. This census did not cover the Transylvania part of Hungary (now in Romania).  See: About The Hungarian Property Tax 1828 Land Census & Film Numbers

Note: The entries are not alphabetical, so when requesting a lookup, please specify what village/city.  The books contain "only" names [no other census data is provided] but from this further research can be conducted at the LDS/Family History Center, where all these books are on microfilm with the complete data.

We cannot guarantee the accuracy of this translation for the following reasons:

1:  This copy was typed in Latin from an original, and there are several typographical errors and misspellings.

2:  We do not know the origin of the Latin documents.  The Latin language differed from country to country: in Italy, Latin was different from that used in Germany and other places.
