The “Dreschmaschine”

Contributed by Nehlich Walter
Translated by Diana Lambing, 2004

These threshing photos were taken around 1930, in the village of Darkowatz,  Slavonia, formerly Yugoslavia, today Croatia.

This small village was founded 1901/02 by Baron Turkovic, who only sold land to German persons confessing the Evangelical faith.

The fate of this small village ended in 1943.
