As in all
villages of the
Theresia's settlement in
Billed only
Catholics were
settled. These
were cared for
at first of the
parish
Neubeschenowa,
until Billed
received its own
parish on 9
September 1766.
First priest of
Billed was
Gabriel of farm
villages, first
minister was
Paul Herics. The
service took
place however
under very
modest
conditions,
first in a hut
from boards,
later in the
class room in a
Kolonistenhaus.
In the year 1775
with the
building of our
church from
bricks after
plans from the
head council,
the church was
blessed in
September 1777

Fifty years
later the church
had grown over

inhabitants At

extended in the
year 1833 by the

catholic civil
