Gypsies (Zigeuner in German) have lived
in Scheindorf for many years. Gypsies
refer to themselves with the name "Rom"
and not Gypsy. Recently, the Rom of
Scheindorf have purchased some Swabian
homes after their owners moved out of
Scheindorf. Along with the Jews, the Rom
were also killed in great numbers in the
Nazi extermination camps during World
War II.
