Pharr The Knaben-Kapelle drew another great crowd to Fairmount park yesterday, and the popularity of the little Hungarians seems to wax greater with
each concert. No Kopellemeister could have asked for a more enthusiastic reception for his band than the people yesterday accorded to Herr Schilzonyi's tiny pupils. The programs were interesting and varied. There were in the neighborhood of 10,000 people at the park during the day, but so perfect was the service of the electric line that It didn't seem to be any rush at any time of the day, either coming or going. This will be the final week of the Hungarians, and it would not be surprising if it were not a record-breaker in the matter of attendance at the park. Saturday night the musicians leave for Chicago. In the meantime they play every afternoon and evening, rain or shine. Tonight's program:
Kansas City Star March.. Liberal!
Overture "Prince Methuaalem" - Strauss
"All Coons Look Alike" to Me Hogan
Song "Sei Nicht Boese" Zeller
Selection "Bells of Corneville" - Planquette
Herziges Kind "Idle" - Schilzonyi
"Newsboys' March" - Schilzonyi
Dedicated to the newsboys of Kansas City. |
